Hi Parents!

Here is what we did today!

Today we cleaned up our classroom! (James)

It is our last day of school. (Parker)

We celebrated Parker’s birthday. He brought ice cream. It was chocolate and vanilla. (Abby)

We cleaned our lockers and our book boxes and chair covers. We cleaned around the classroom. (Aster)

Today is a half day. (Adalynn)

We did a coloring packet. It had 3 word searches. (Caroline)

We had no specials. (Will C.)

We did read aloud. Mrs. Hotchkiss read Mrs. Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten. (Aster)

Mr. Hotchkiss and Auggie came today. (Aiden)

We had play time. (Abby)

I was the teacher assistant. (Evalynn)

We wrote about what we will do in the summer. (Grayson)

If your child was not at school today, I will put their supply box in the office! You can pick it up during Summer School hours or on Thursday evening during the Summer School Meet the Teacher Night.

I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to teach your children this year! I love each and every one of them and will miss them dearly! It is so awesome to see how far they have come!! It has been a wonderful year! Thanks for letting me be apart of your lives! Have a wonderful summer!!

Here is what we did today!

We did some math games on the smartboard. We played Car Race and Monster Squeeze and Roll and Record. (Caroline)

We had an assembly. We did the Cougar of the Month and Abby got it! Hayden got perfect attendance. The 5th graders gave high fives to everyone. (Aster)

I brought Mercy Watson cookies! (Abby)

We watched a Pete the Cat video about the magical sunglasses that make your day look better. (Aiden)

We did water day! (Azayla)

We did Kent’s birthday! (James)

We got splashed at water day. There were bubbles. (Maya)

We had Fundations. We did trick words. (Evalynn)

People were running to the pools and jumping in! (Hayden)

In water day there were squirt guns and people were chasing Mrs. Hotchkiss and squirting her! (Rylan)

Kent brought donuts! (Parker)

We had a very fun day!! Have a great weekend! One more day of Kindergarten! It is hard to believe!

We did the fire drill. (James)

We celebrated Xander’s summer birthday. We got 2 cookies! (Aster)

We went to computer lab. We played ST Math. (Parker)

One more day until water day! (Azayla)

We had P.E. We were playing a game where the balls were on a cone. We tried to knock the balls of the cones. (Abby)

Xander brought goodies bags! (Aiden)

Mercy came to school today! It was actually Mrs. Hotchkiss! She looked like Mercy Watson Princess in Disguise. (Evalynn, Parker, and Aster)

We had a toast party! Some people got hot buttered toast with a great deal of butter on it! It was really good! (Kennedy and Caroline)

We got to pick out a Mercy Watson book. I picked Mercy Watson To The Rescue.  (Rylan)

We had morning meeting. (Alice)

We did writing. We wrote about favorite Mercy Watson book and our favorite part  of that story. We drew a picture. (Grayson)

Aster was the teacher assistant. (Kent)

We did poem. We highlighted all the word wall words. (Maya)

We did Fundations. We little cards and big cards. (Abby)

We did read aloud. We read it on the Smartboard. It was when Mercy was a little piglet! (Aster)

We did Daily 5 and cleaned out our book boxes. (Grayson)

We are going to do our singing program! (Azayla)

We did math workstations. (Will C.)

We are going to go to library. We are going to play on the computers. (Aiden)

We did the weather. It was 61 degrees. (Evalynn)

We did our program practice. The 5th graders watched. (Aster)

We did poem. It was called Summer. (Parker and Abby)

Today we went to our 4th grade buddies. We drew pictures and ate popcorn and marshmallows. (James)

We are wearing graduation hats to our program. They are blue! (Caroline)

Two more days until water day! (Azayla)

We did Fundations. We did sentence frames. We did tapping. (Kent)

We did writing. We wrote in our school memory book. (Rylan) This is coming home today!

We are taking home our Monday News! (Grayson)

Hope to see you at the program at 2:20 pm! Doors open at 2:10 pm! All students will go back to classrooms after the program. You can meet your child in our room! You are welcome to take them home after the program. They are packed up and ready to go!

We had a bonus art. We were supposed to have a kickball game but it was cancelled. (Aiden)

We did Bump Up Day! We met all of the first grade teachers. In first grade they do Daily 5. We only get 2 recesses. (Rylan, Grayson, and Evalynn)

Four more days until water day! (Azayla)

We did math. We played Fishing For 10. It is like Go Fish. We had to find ways to make 10. (Caroline)

We had music today. We did a video. (Aiden)

We did the days in school. We have been in school for 167 days in school. We have 5 days left in school. (Aster)

It is going to a fun filled week!

Graduation program is Wednesday at 2:20 pm (get there early to get a seat)! Wednesday is also Walk to School Day if you and your child would like to participate.

On Thursday we are going to have a Mercy Watson party and eat hot buttered toast on blue plates just like Mercy!

Friday is our water day! Have the kids come with swimsuits under their clothes and a change of clothes for the afternoon!

I will try to send most things home on Thursday/Friday. If your child will not be coming on Tuesday the 28^th please let me know. Thanks!

We did Field Day! We did tug of war. (Abby)

On Field Day we played leap the creek. (Rose)

In Field Day we are popsicles. (Maya)

We celebrated Azayla’s birthday. She brought donuts. (Parker and Aster)

We watched a movie in library. We didn’t have specials. (Aiden)

At Field Day we also did a car wash game. The first person soaks a sponge and passes it over their head. The last person squeezes it into a bucket. (Evalynn)

We did the weather and it was 81 when we came back from Field Day. (Abby)

We played Mosquito Tag. I got tagged! (James)
