Here is what we did today (according to the few children left in my classroom after the party! Haha)!

We did our sing along. (Hayden) The video is on Class Dojo!

Every class sang a Christmas song. (Aster)

We did our picture frame project. (Parker) In the folders!

We made a little hand elf with our 4th grade buddies. (Aster)

We watched a Pete the Cat Christmas video. (Hayden)

We got to take home a Build a Bear from Alice! (Caroline)

We did our letter to Santa. (Hayden)

We had a party! Some parent came. We did candy cane fishing and snowball toss! (Aster) So much fun! Big thank you to Dee for organizing and to all the parents who helped!

We are having closing meeting with 5 kids! (Aster)

We did snack at the party. We made a reindeer and we got to eat it! (Parker)

Tomorrow is our Polar Express Day! Kids can come in pajamas (tennis shoes please). They are also welcome to bring a small stuffed animal or blanket if they would like. Small enough to fit in their backpack would be best!

Mrs. Baker came and taught us how not to have a meltdown. (Caroline) They worked on “cool down” strategies for when we get mad!

Just a reminder…please keep toys from home at home. This is part of our MCE handbook.

Also, please make sure your student has a snack in their backpack every day! I am currently out of extra snacks for kids who forget theirs. If anyone would like to donate extra snacks (individual wrapped snacks like granola bars, cracker packs, etc.) that would be very much appreciated!

In the folders today you will find an envelope for the Snowball Shoppe! This is a fun way for your child to Christmas shop for family members (participation is totally optional). Our class will shop on Wednesday the 12^th. On the envelope please write down who you would like your student to buy for and how much they are allowed to spend on that person. We will have 4^th grade buddies there to help us shop!

In the folder you will also find the first behavior report of 2^nd trimester. Please look this over, discuss with your child, initial, and return on Monday in the folder. Thank you!!

Here is what we did today!

We went to P.E. We did stations. (Hayden and Aster)

We voted for a pizza party! We got 100 tickets! (Rylan) I would love to do this tomorrow since it is Stella’s last day at MCE. If everyone could bring in $1 or $2 to help pay (if you are able to) that would be great!! I am looking for a parent who would be willing to pick up the pizza and bring it to the classroom. It would need to be at school by 10:25 am. I will put in the order and pay for it over the phone. Please reply to this email if you are able to help!

We did math. We played a game. Mrs. Hotchkiss put shapes inside of hat and we had to feel the shapes. She told us what we needed to feel for. (Rose) I described attributes of the shape and they had to feel for it in the hat!

Hi Parents!

We ran out of time for closing meeting today! Here are a few things we did at school…

We played Monster Squeeze for math! They had to guess the mystery number on the number line. Students were told if their number pick was too high or too low.

For Fundations, we reviewed letter formation on our whiteboards!

We played word games to practicing rhyming, isolating beginning and ending sounds, and counting syllables.

We highlighted our word of the week (for) and added our I Am Thankful poem to our poetry folders.

We talked about the protein group and finished the last page of our My Good Food Book. These will come home next week.

We sorted our cut out pictures of foods into food groups!

We had a healthy food feast and made turkey hats!

It was a great day!

Here is what we did today!

We did art. We painted in art. (Will C. and Aster)

We had 4th grade buddies come. We made pumpkins. (Azayla)

Today is Will C.’s birthday! We had his birthday snack. He brought GoGoSqueez. He got to pick out a book and a ribbon from the office. (Stella)

We did Fundations. We wrote a and g. (James)

We did read aloud. We made our Little Red Hen puppets. (Rylan and Evalynn)

We sang happy birthday to Will. (Kent)

We did Daily 5. (Hayden)

We did writing. We told what we would do to help The Little Red Hen. (Maya)

We did a GoNoodle. (Adalynn)

On Wednesday, we will be making a friendship fruit salad to celebrate learning about the fruit group! Please have your child bring in one piece of fruit to add to the fruit salad! Please make sure they are washed beforehand! Please send fruits like apples, oranges, pears, kiwi, watermelon, etc. cut into slices or pieces.
