Hi Parents!
Here is what we did today!
We
went to music. (Sylus)
We
had some guest readers. They were Avery and Lauren. They read Green Eggs and
Ham. (Owen and Evan)
We
did lunch and went outside. (Logan, Dylan, and Lyrik)
We
got to do math workstations. (Sophia)
We
got to 100 Cougar Compliments! We are going to have a pajama party next week.
(Andrew) We
will do this Friday, Oct. 2nd. More information to come!
We
got to do Listening to Reading. We listened to books on CD players. (JR)
We
sorted the 3D shapes. (Connor and Dylan)
We
got to do snack and Mrs. Hotchkiss read us a book about apples. (Ginger)
We
got to learn the letter “t” on a new whiteboard. (Sophia) We are starting our new word study program
called Fundations! This is how we will learn our letters and sounds.
We
did all the Me Bags. We turned all the name pages into a book. We are taking
the book home today. (James) The
students have been working hard on these for weeks! We have been working on
drawing realistic pictures, using 5 or more colors, adding details, and adding
labels. You mind notice names towards the end of the alphabet are more
detailed. This is because the students are growing in their abilities!
Mrs.
Hotchkiss is going to hang up our name posters. (Sophia)
We
did Echo the Owl and baby Echo. (Malai) This is part of our Fundations program. We are repeating the
letter and letter sound!
Announcements!
URGENT NEED!! On Friday, September
25th, we will be having an apple tasting day. We will be
trying all things apple and then graphing our favorites. We will be
trying different types of apples and apple foods! If you would like to donate
items, please sign up by clicking on the

name for the items in the document. If you sign up for an item, please send it
in by Thursday, September 24th. Thank you!
Our class is in need of AA batteries for our class CD players! If you have some at home
that you would like to donate, please send it in with your child ASAP!! Please
reply to this email if you are able to donate.
We have not received any items for our Star Wars themed raffle basket that
will be auctioned off at Cougar Fun Fest! All
items are due Friday, October 2nd. I saw a bunch of cool items
at Kohl’s this weekend that would be great! Thanks for your help with this
basket!
