Hi Parents!
Here is what we
did today!
Henry was the teacher helper. (Will C.)
We did library. We did Word on the
computers. We typed letters. (Will M.)
We got a new toy for inside recess. It is a
rocket ship! It has little people in it. (Aster)
We did Daily 5. (Maya)
We did an earthquake drill. (Azayla)
We did Makerspace. We learned about
electricity. We used Snap Circuits. (Parker)
We did project. We read the story about
Peter and we put the story back in order. We got to color it. (Hayden)
We did math workstations. (James)
We did morning meeting. (Rose)
For writing we talked about The Snowy
Day. We are making our own book. We did the first page. We talked about how
he left footprints in the snow. (Caroline)
We did poem. The word of the week is “to”.
Our poem is called “Winter”. (Evalynn)
We had a fire drill. (Adalynn)
We did Fundations. We used our whiteboards
for writing x and y. (Abby)
We have been in school 86 days. (Maya)
Classroom Needs!
To celebrate earning another set of 100 Cougar behavior tickets, our class
voted to have a dessert party!! We
will do this on Friday, January 11th!!
If you would like to make or send in a dessert, please reply to this email and
let me know what you will be bringing! For my sake, please make sure it is
something easy to serve! I will make sure the kids don’t get too overloaded
with sugar! 😊
Our classroom needs several items next week
as we learn about snow! We will be
making fake snow one day and snowflakes with toothpicks and marshmallows on
another!

Also, The 100th Day of School is quickly approaching! Currently, the 100th Day of School is
scheduled for Tuesday, January 29th
(unless we have any snow days between now and then). Our class is planning a
celebration for the 100th Day of School in which all learning activities will
be centered around the number 100.
On the 100th Day of School each student
will create his/her own special snack of with 100 pieces of food (like a trail mix). For this special snack, we would like to ask
for donations. Please
sign up using this link. Please send in your snack donations by January 28th, so we can ensure we have
enough snack for each student. Each
student will get 10 pieces of 10 snack foods for their trail mix. Please
make sure your snack donation is enough for 21 students.
