Here is what we did today!

We did P.E. We did square and circle dancing. (Brooke, Cordae, and Rilen)

We did Fundations. We did v and w. (Crimson)

We did all about the number 8. (Anna)

We got to see the Book Fair. (Kate)

We did a test for our word wall words. (Emily)

We wrote about our weekend in writing. It was Monday News! We got new paper for Monday News. (Cordae and Zain)

We practiced the tornado drill in the music room. (Kamri)

We did Daily 5. (Adeline)

We read The Pigeon Wants a Puppy by Mo Willems. (Livi)

Our class pizza party for earning 100 Cougar Compliments will be Thursday, November 13th. If you would like to donate $2 to help cover the cost of the pizza, please send cash in your child’s folder! If your child would prefer to bring their own lunch to eat on that day or buy a school lunch that is totally fine! Just please let me know ahead of time so I can order the correct amount of food. We went to music and played a game. (Anna)

We made safety signs and glued them to popsicle sticks. (Zain and Livi)

We got to write in our writing folders. (Kate)

We did Fundations letters on white boards. (Adeline)

We read a book called Knuffle Bunny Too. (Crimson)

Hi Parents! Happy Halloween!

Here is what we did today!

We got to have parents come read to our class. (Kate)

We had a special snack. It was marshmallow ghost and pumpkin with pudding! (Zain)

We did math. We counted how many candy corns and saw which one had the most. (Lexi B.)

We did the Zero the Hero Stomp. We have been in school for 50 days. (Blair and Crimson)

We had our 3rd grade buddies come and read to us. (Emily)  We partnered up with Ms. Lang’s 3^rd grade class!

We got to wear costumes to school. (Livi)

We had an assembly. He was a storyteller. (Cordae)

We did music. (Adeline)

We played outside. (Lexie T.)

Nurse Shannon came and taught us about germs. (Zain)

We did Fundations letters. (Lexie T.)

We did p and j on our white boards. (Brock)

We made a scarecrow project for the book The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. (Kate)

We watched a movie about Sid the Science Kid. (Cordae) This went along with Nurse Shannon’s lesson.

For writing, we wrote about ways we can be safe in our community.

Announcements

Our Fall Celebration with Books event will be TOMORROW, October 31st. Students may dress up as their favorite book character for the day.  Please remember the following rules:

•No face paint or hair paint of any kind.

•No weapons, masks or gory costumes.

•Costumes must be appropriate for school and there are no “props” allowed that day.

We will also have storyteller Larry Brown doing two assemblies for us that day. 

I am attaching my updated PTC schedule (there are some changes due to parent conflicts). This will be sent home tomorrow. Please let me know if changes need to be made!
