Hi Parents!

Here is what we did today!

We had a feast! It was healthy food tasting feast. Some moms helped up. (Aidin and Adeline) The kids tried food items from each food group! Thank you to the families that helped with food and supplies! Also thank you to the moms who volunteered their time to help!

We made a yogurt sundae with Ms. B. We used yogurt, peaches, and granola. (Brock) Ms. B, from CPS Nutritional Services, did a nutrition lesson using food items for a yogurt sundae!

We did math workstations with a partner. (Pritish)

We did art. We made clay cups. (Randy and Riley)

Ms. Zapata came. She taught us about dairy. We tried Muenster cheese. (Anna and Livi)

We had counselor with Ms. Baker and she read us The Monster’s Monster. She was teaching us how to say “thank you”. The monster didn’t know how. (Kate and Kamri)

We finished our Good Food book. (Crimson) These are coming home today!

No school tomorrow. No school for 5 days! (Blair)

In your child’s folder you will find lots of fun activities to do over the break! These are totally optional and do not need to be returned to school. You will find dot cards for Compare Dots and lots of writing prompts. Enjoy!

The Hat/Mitten/Glove tree will be in the office on December 1st.  Students who bring in items may take them directly to the office.  The items collected will be divided up between many local organizations.  If you know of an organization that needs these items, please let us know.

The December specials calendar is on my website under “Our Classroom” or you can follow this link to view it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7ZJ1OTq-a2IYkdjcXNoVnlRUVU/view?usp=sharing
This will come home next Monday.

Have a wonderful break and happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for such an awesome group of kids and families this year!!
