Parents!
Here
is what we did today:
Today
we did something new in math. We were talking about the orders of numbers from
yesterday with the dominos and cube towers. Today we were showing people’s
thinking and we wrote them on the board. Kids came up to help with it. (Sylus)
We
did writing. For writing it was special because we got to finish our final
draft and it’s gonna go in a real life book! We worked our best and tried to do
it our best. We had to make it exactly like our practice one which was our
rough draft. (Sophia)
We
did the assembly. There were people dancing and singing on the stage. They are
called Mother Singers. We got to watch a couple of their songs. There was
someone dressed up as the Genie and one person dressed up like Aladdin. The
Genie flung the monkey on the stage. The Mother Singers traveled to schools for
70 years! They sang one of our morning meeting songs in sign language. (Layla

We
did Daily 5. (Logan)
We
did our poem. We wrote 2 more lines of our poem. Friends got to come up and
help write letters and words in the poem. (Andrew)
Mrs.
Hotchkiss read a book to us. It was called Chick Life Cycle. We learned a lot
about chicks in there. And we got to eat our snack. (Ginger)
We
did morning job. We wrote in our chick journals and we glued the picture of the
eggs. We wrote more about the chicks. (Kate)
It
was the 137th day in school! (Dylan)
We
are going on a field trip to Columbia College tomorrow to see a play. We are
leaving in the morning so please make sure your child gets to school on time!
