Hi
Parents!
Here
is what we did today:
We
did writing. We wrote in our chick journals for the last time. Mrs. Hotchkiss
is going to make a book of our writing today. (Andrew and Evan)
We
went to art. For art we got to take home our dragon or fish. Then we made some
flowers that we could take home if we wanted to. (Mikayla)
We
did math. For math we played a new game. It’s called Double Compare. You have a
partner and with your cards you have to shuffle them and mix them up. And then
how you play it is they are dot cards so you flip up 2 cards and we had higher
numbers then we used to have. You see how much dots in all. If you have the
most dots you say me! Then you share your math thinking out loud so you know
how much you have in all and so does your partner. (Sophia)
We
did Daily 5. (Evan)
We
did our poem. Our poem is called “I’m a Little Chicken”. We read it 2 times. At
the 2nd time we read it we acted it out! (James)
We
did snack. We watched a video about the living things and not living things. So
like all different kinds of things like some move and some that don’t move.
(Layla)
We
did Fundations. We played a game. (Ginger)
We
are packing books for home. (Ginger)
We
had Superhero costumes today! (Lyrik)
We
sent home reading group books in their bags today! It would be awesome if your
child practices reading his/her books over the weekend!
