Hi
Parents!
Here
is what we did today:
We
did Fundations. For Fundations we did something new. We sorted short –a and
long –a. There were lots of pictures we sorted. (Evan)
We
did writing. We did weekend news. Miss Tappana challenged us to write 3
sentences. (Andrew)
We
did math. We played Part Whole Bingo. We can split the cube trains up. (Kate)
We
did art. In art we painted our fish or dragon. We had a paint brush and paint.
We put white glue on it so the paint doesn’t come off. Some people got to read
books or free draw. (JR)
We
did our poem. For our poem it was a new one. It’s called I’m a Little Chicken.
At the end when we were reading we did some hand motions and Mrs. Hotchkiss got
to read it the first time. It had two noises in the poem. (Ginger)
We
did our chick journals. We did it 2 times. We did it for morning job and
project time. We got to do 2 pages. We got a picture and cut it out. We put it
in our chick journals. We wrote words with it so people understand. We got to
color one of the pictures. We wanted to make it colorful and nice because our
parents are going to see it one day! (Sophia)
The
chicks might hatch tomorrow! (Layla)
It
is the 139th day of school! (Dylan)
We
watched a new Class Dojo video this morning. It is Series 2 Episode 1. Here are
some questions you could discuss with your child tonight as well as the link to
the video!
Series 2, Ep 1: Take-home
questions
1. What is "the
dip"?
2. Discuss an example of a
time you've felt
the dip (student share, parent
share.) How did
it feel?
3. How does what we've learned
about
growth mindset help us get out of
the dip?
