On Thursday, October 6th, we will be having an apple tasting day to celebrate all we will learn about apples next week! We will be trying all things apple and then graphing our favorites.  Please sign up for an item and send it in by Wednesday, October 5th. Here is the link to sign up.

In your child’s Friday Folder, there is a flyer advertising our pumpkin drop. The pumpkin drop is an activity that kicks off the fun fest. The PTA has over 1200 small foam stress ball pumpkins that are numbered 1-1200+. When you “Buy” a pumpkin, you are actually buying the number of a pumpkin. The field next to the bus loop will be marked with labeled flags representing over 160 prizes. The foam pumpkins will be dropped from a hot air balloon onto the marked field. The pumpkin that lands closest to each marked flag will win that prize!

You win a new bike!
 
It’s an exciting event that the kids really enjoy. Prizes range from gift cards to TV’s.
 
Next Tuesday, Sept 4th the PTA will start selling pumpkin drop pumpkin numbers in the commons. To help with kindergarten sales, the PTA will be coming to our classroom to sell pumpkin numbers to our kindergarteners on TUESDAY ONLY. If you are interested in buying 1 or more pumpkin numbers for the pumpkin drop, please send your money in a LABELED ENVELOPE or Baggie so that we can make sure your purchases happen. PTA DOES sell out of pumpkins each year so these are a very popular item! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much!
 

I will get an October calendar out to you guys when I get back to school on Monday. I believe it is a library day so make sure your student has their library book in their backpack. Thanks!!
