Hi Parents!

Here is what we did today!

We did counselor. We read a book and talked about feelings. (James)

We did the rules and we went to library. (JR)

We played a candy game. We cut out paper candies and we put candies in our trick or treat bags. Mrs. Hotchkiss told a story about how many candies to put in the trick or treat bag. We will play it again tomorrow. (Evan and Dylan) We are working on story problems!

We did Fundations. We did the letter a. (Logan)

We read The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. (Kymiah)

We did the Fundations cards. (Malai)

We did writing time. We wrote about our weekends. (Kate and Owen)

Some friends got to share their writing. (Ginger)

We did Daily 5. (Connor)

Also…good news!! Twitter is back up and running on CPS computers! I am tweeting out pictures again for you to see what is happening in our classroom! I just put up some pictures of community helpers day!

Fall Celebration with Books is this Friday, October 30! Your child may wear a costume to school (book characters encouraged). No masks, scary make-up, wigs, weapons or props--anything that could be a distraction. The costume must be something that can be worn all day.  Tennis shoes are encouraged. Since the focus is on reading your child can bring a favorite book or two from home as well as a small stuffed animal (it needs to be able to fit in the backpack).
