Hi Parents!

Here is what we did today!

We did closing meeting and snack. (Sky and Xander)

We did art. We drew dollars on paper. (Britt and Madelynn)

We put together our name books. We are taking them home today! (Erin) Every day we added a new name page! Now they are yours to keep! You can see a lot of growth from day 1 to day 20!

We did morning buzz. (Isaac)

We did Read to Someone with our animals. (Brooklynn)

We did math. We cut out triangles out of magazines. (Maclyn) We have finished Unit 1 and are moving on to Unit 2! I will send home the family letter and homework for this unit next week.

We put our poem in our poetry folder. (Russell)

We highlight the words “we” in our poem. (Ismael)

We did the calendar. (Brooklynn)

We did our math workstations. (Joshua)

We did our stuffed animal and PJ party! (Carmel Grace)

We read Baby Bear’s Books. (Brooklynn)

I am sending home Social Growth and Work Habits Updates today. I have attached the descriptions for your reference.  Please do not be discouraged if your student comes home with multiple “1’s” in some areas. This is very common for the beginning of the year because students need multiple reminders. Please take the time to talk with your student about these areas, initial the form, and return it in your child’s folder on Tuesday.

I also sent home the information from Curriculum Night if you were not able to attend.

Starting next week on Class Dojo I am changing the “needs work” marks to begin taking points away. Currently it just does a neutral mark and adds a note to their report. Just wanted to give you a heads up! Occasionally I will print these reports and send them home.

NO school on Monday! Teacher work day.
