Field Trip Tomorrow!!
If your child is bringing a lunch from home, please make sure everything can be thrown away. We will not be taking lunch boxes to the farm. I will grab sack lunches from the cafeteria in the morning for those who ordered.

In preparation for our field trip, please make sure your child has warm layering clothing. The wind cuts across the pumpkin patch and there is no wind breaks. It tends to feel colder out there. Coats, jackets, hats, gloves/mittens, shoes that can get dirty are wise to have on hand. Now is also a GREAT time to start practicing self-help skills such as fixing sleeves that are turned inside out, zipping coats, buttoning coats independently, fixing upside coats that are turned upside down, etc. It really helps at this time of year when kids can master these skills independently. Thanks for your help!

Parent Volunteers
I just wanted to remind you of all the details for our field trip tomorrow! We have 9 volunteers joining us so those coming will be with your own child and one other student. You are more than welcome to pair up and we will be doing several activities as a whole group.

Peach Tree Farms

24863 Highway 98
Boonville, Missouri 65233

The bus leaves at 9:00 and will arrive at Peach tree Farms around 9:30. Parents may meet us out at the farm or follow the bus.

We have a rotation schedule to follow. I will supply you with a copy of this schedule at the farm.
We will have a picnic lunch on the grass so please consider bringing a blanket to share if you are able.

Parents may take their child home if you wish. Please make sure you let me know and “sign out” your child before leaving.

Per District policy: Only parents who have completed a background check and has been cleared through the school may escort students to the bathroom. Please DO NOT assist students in the bathroom. You can wait outside the door for them. If the need arises for assistance, please let a teacher know.

Please do not let kids climb on trees or pick any produce. Please make sure kids are being kind to the animals; no kicking the animal houses or throwing items at animals.

Don’t forget to pack a lunch or snack for yourself and dress in layers….. it’s going to be chilly!

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
