Hi Parents!
Here is what we
did today!
We did music. We played a game with number
cards. We played our instruments that many times. We also did a brain break.

We did closing meeting and snack. (Isaac)
We did Daily 5. (Britt)
We did math. We learned about pennies and
dimes. They have presidents on the front. A penny is 1 cent and a dime is 10
cents. (Russell)
We played a teens game. We had to try and
find the number that matches the 10’s frames. (Ismael)
We did the poem. We put it in our poetry
folders. (Emma)
We did morning buzz. We talked about our
weekend. We also passed the bear around the circle and talk about our favorite
sport. (Blake)
We did project. It was a groundhog. We used
a black piece of paper for the shadow. We used brown paper for the hole. The
groundhog pops out of the top. (Maclyn)
We watched a video of the groundhog. He saw
his shadow. It means 6 more weeks of winter. (Dempsey)
We did math workstations. (AJ)
Mrs. Hotchkiss read us a book called Substitute
Groundhog. (Madelynn)

We did the weather. (Wilson)
Reminder! No
school on Monday. It is a teacher work day.
In the folder you
will find a Social Growth and Work Habits report. Please look this over,
discuss it with your child, initial at the bottom, and return it to school in
the folder on Tuesday.
Reading bags are
also coming home today! Please let your child read these books to you this
weekend. These books and bags need to be returned to school on Tuesday so the
kids have the books for Daily 5 reading time. They do not have new reading
group books this week because I am doing assessments to prepare for PTC.
Hopefully new books will be coming home in 2 weeks!
You will also find
a Parent Teacher Conference schedule. Please let me know ASAP if you need a
different time.
Please fill out
the pre-conference survey as soon as you can and return it in the folder. This
will help me prepare for our conference time together.

included a note about Valentine’s Day! Please let me know if you have any
questions! Hopefully you can make it to the party on the 14th at
2:20 pm!
