Hi
Parents!
Here
is what we did today:
We
did Fundations. This is our last day for our capital letters. We wrote Y and Z
in our Fundations notebook. We did big cards and little cards and vowel chart.
We did tapping. (Sophia)
We
did snack. We read Skeletons and Muscles. (Logan)
We
did math. We had word problems. Some people got to act them out. We had to show
our thinking. We had a little extra time to play Count Around the Circle.
Whoever got to a group of 10 had to sit down. As we play our group gets
smaller. (Ginger)
We
did P.E. In P.E. we did the bean bags. We threw the bean bags in the
basket. We had lots of stations. (Lyrik)
We
did writing. We made a list of things we can do that we could write about for
our How To books. We made a list of things on the SmartBoard. (Andrew)
We
did Daily 5. (James)
We
did our poem. It was called My Body. There were pictures of your hand with skin
and pictures without skin. It’s called a skeleton without your skin. (Evan)
For
project we drew on a piece of paper with our body. We had to color our body
with realistic colors. (Layla)
We
did the Zero the Hero Stomp! (Kate)
Reminder: Library Day is tomorrow,
so please remind your child to bring the library book back!
Yesterday
we watched another Class Dojo video! We are now on Episode 3. The kids
absolutely love these videos. They have done a great job with watching the
video and then talking about it after. This video talked more about trying hard
even if something is hard, which is very important to understand as a Kindergartner. Here is the link:
It
would be great if you could watch this at home with your child this week! After
watching this video, you could discuss the following questions:
1.
Name a time you
were afraid to ask for help. Why were you afraid? (Both parent and student
should pick a moment to share)
2.
How can you
improve the phrase "I can't do this?”
3.
Think of a time
where you just didn't get “it.” What could you do in that situation?
Thanks for everything you do! Have a wonderful Tuesday evening
and try to stay dry! J
