Hi Parents!

Here is what we did today!

We went to art. (Livi)

Miss Miller did Read Aloud. We read Over and Under the Snow. (Emily and Adeline)

We did Daily 5. (Zain)

We did our last page of our Snowy Day retelling book. On this page Peter put the snowball in his pocket. (Blair)

We did math. In math we showed our thinking in our math journals. (Aidin) We talked about showing how many of each kind of pattern block using pictures, numbers, or words. We shared some different ways to represent math thinking on paper.

We did Days in School. We wrote the date and days in school on the white boards. (Kamri)

We are having cocoa night tonight. We will be doing a scavenger hunt in the classroom with our parents. It is from 5-6:30 p.m. (Brock and Blair)

We did Fundations. We got to echo with Baby Echo and Echo the Owl. (Kate)

Tomorrow is our “Bring a Toy to School Celebration”!

Our class earned another set of 100 Cougar Compliments! Each student is allowed to bring one small toy to school this day. This could be a small bag of legos or blocks, an action figure, a doll, stuffed animal, toy car, etc. No toy weapons please! Students are allowed to bring an electronic toy (such as a DS) as long as the sound can be turned off. Please make sure it is fully charged or has new batteries. Please do not send valuable electronic toys because these toys will be unsupervised at times (recess, specials, etc.) Students will have the opportunity to play with these items at specific points in the school day. They will only be allowed to play with the toy in the classroom setting (not bus line, etc.) Please let me know if you have any questions!
