This is what we did today!
We
did P.E. (Anna)
We
had indoor recess in the trailers. (Livi)
We
went outside to pick up leaves. (Lexi B.)
We
made a project with the leaves. We put the leaf on a piece of paper and rubbed
it with a dark crayon. (Adeline)
We
colored a leaf writing paper and we cut it out. We wrote what our favorite
thing is to do in the fall. Mrs. Hotchkiss hung it up in the hallway. (Emily)
We
read a book called Leaves, Leaves, Leaves. (Kate)
We
are having a dance party because all the classes got Cougar Compliments and
filled up the cougar paw. (Riley)
We
wrote a sentence about fall on the white boards. (Lexie T.)
We
labeled the parts of the leaf. (Randy)
We
highlighted the word look on our fall poem. (Blair)
Announcements!
In your child’s folder, you will find some
information about the Kindergarten curriculum along with helpful items such as
handwriting prompts and our high frequency “no-excuse” words. This will provide
some more insight on what is happening in our Kindergarten classroom and what
your child will be learning this year! Please let me know if you have any
questions!
Picture retakes will be next Wednesday, October 15th.
Please return your child’s picture packet on this day if he or she will be participating
in picture retakes!

*Make a Difference Week! Food Drive for the Central Mo. Food Bank will be Oct. 13-17th! Please donate
non-perishable food items in the bins in the commons.

Hats will be Friday, October 17th!
Please bring $1 or more to your room
if you want to wear a hat! Proceeds will benefit The Heavenly Hats Foundation.
This foundation collects and distributes brand new hats of all kinds to those
heroes of all ages who lose their hair due to the treatment of cancer or the
many other medical conditions which may cause hair loss.
