Hi Parents!
Here is what we
did today!
We went to library. We got books. We did ST
Math. (AJ)
We did math. We stuck our hands in a “feely
box”. We gave clues and someone had to guess the shape. (Russell)
We did Fundations. We did the letter j.
(Isaac)
Mrs. Hotchkiss read a book to us. The book
was Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. (Maclyn) I
love these books! We will be reading Mo Willems books all week!
We did math workstations. (Blake)
We are doing closing meeting and snack. We
got to eat holiday gummies from Erin! (Xander and Dempsey)
We did writing. We did Monday News. (Britt)
We did Daily 5. (Madelynn)
We did morning buzz. (Brooklynn)
We did a new poem. The word of the week is
“and”. The poem was about needs and wants. A need is something you need to
live. A want is something want to have but you can live without it. (Carmel
Grace and Ismael) A great lesson just in time for the
holidays!
We did the weather. The weather is going to
be cold this week. (Ismael) Make sure to pack hats, gloves, and scarves!
We are still going to play outside!
I hope you enjoyed
having your child read to you this weekend! Please be sure to return the
plastic bag with your child’s paper books back to school so they can put these
books back in their book boxes to read at Daily 5! These reading bags will come
home every Friday with new book box books to read at home over the weekend. I
had several bags not come back. Please look for these at home tonight! Please
see Friday’s email or blog post for more detail. Thank you!
We are going to
be learning about the holiday traditions of families in our class! Take a moment to talk with your
child about the holidays you celebrate and the traditions your family has each
year. We'd love to hear what special traditions your family has at this
time of year! With your child, send our class an e-mail about the
things your family does each year. We will use these e-mails to
spark conversations about different holiday customs our families
have. It would also be wonderful if you include a picture or two!
Please send this email by December 18th!
Thanks for helping
us with this important learning!
