We sang the 12 days of Christmas. (Yahna)

We are going to go to the Snowball Shoppe. (Yahna) The students will get another opportunity to shop Friday morning if they need to! Please send money tomorrow or Friday.

Here is what we did today!

We did our poem. It was called He Ran Away. Our word this week is “he”. (Sophia)

We had P.E. (Elizabeth)

Today we had a kindness bracelet. (Kiernan)   Our school has recently begun a “Kindness Revolution”. We are working together to help each other be kind, as well as showing others we notice their kindness. Your child may soon come home wearing a rubber bracelet. These are a vital part of our kindness campaign. When a child notices another Mill Creek student being kind, they pass their bracelet along and at school will write their name on a slip of paper. These paper strips will be turned into a chain that is going to be hung up in the hallway between the office and the library. We are hoping to show how far kindness can spread! Please help us by having your child bring their bracelet back to school if they come home wearing one and talk to them about what they did to get their bracelet. We can’t wait to show how kind Mill Creek is!

We are going to be learning about the holiday traditions of families in our class!  Take a moment to talk with your child about the holidays you celebrate and the traditions your family has each year.  We'd love to hear what special traditions your family has at this time of year!  With your child, send our class an e-mail about the things your family does each year.  We will use these e-mails to spark conversations about different holiday customs our families have.  It would also be wonderful if you include a picture or two!

We made snowmen. It is for Parents in Education. They hang it up in their office. (Yahna)

We had music. Mrs. Rodriguez had us play instruments to a Hanukkah song. (Elizabeth)

We did math. We made a cubes train with 5 cubes and we measured things around the room to see if it was longer or shorter. We made a list of the things that were shorter. (Andy)

We did read aloud. We read The Pigeon Needs a Bath. We drew the pigeon on whiteboards. (Nick)

Monday is our TRYPS field trip. We will be going to watch Elf Jr. The Musical. Because of space limitations in the theatre, I do not need any parent volunteers for this field trip. Please make sure your child is on time for school since we will be leaving right after morning meeting. Thank you!
