Hi Parents!
Here is what we did
today:
We went to P.E.
and we practiced our ball skills and tossing skills. (Emily)
We did math
workstations. (Livi)
We did writing
and we learned about how to books. (Lexi B)
Today we started
the process of writing our how to books. We looked at some examples of
what a how to book is, such as how to make trail mix. We talked about
what goes into a how to book and that you have to be an expert on the subject
so that you can explain the process of doing something to others.
We did Daily 5.
We got to pick our 2 choices. (Anna)
We did
math. We played Towers of 6. (Brooke)
This is a game
where they work with a partner to roll two dice that only have 1,2, and 3's on
them, and use cubes (different colors for each partner) to create towers
of six. They take turns rolling the dice and building the towers so that
there will be different combinations of six. When they have made three
towers of six they then record it on the number sentence sheet. This game
helps to build addition skills, counting on, and thinking about the
combinations of 6 that there are.
We did
fundations. We got to tap out words. (Kate)
We read a book
called My Body. (Adeline)
Next week Mill Creek
will be having a spirit week. If you want your child to participate send
